microchip "pet" implant

I am sure that many of us have had a pet run out the door and disappear for several hours, days, or never seen again. However, the invention of a microchip implant for pets has enhanced the possibility for lost pets to be returned to the owners much faster than chasing down eroded information from dog tags. The microchip is a silicon chip, wrapped in copper wire, with a small capacitor. The chip is placed in the back of the pets neck, between the shoulders and of course beneath the skin. However, this chip is of little value if the animal is not scanned by a scanner with the matching frequency, that it needs to decode the information stored on the microchip. Thanks to this technological product, the size of a grain of rice families are more likely to be reunited with scruffy.
